Mobile home titles

Are titles of ownership required on a 1992 mobile home which is anchored down on a concrete slab in New York State? The wheels are removed.

Or is it viewed as a home?

when is it personal vs. real property?

In most cases, your mobile home can become real property.

This would be when you:

place the home on a permanent foundation

own the lot (actual dirt, not just a share in the corpoation that owns the land) under the home

and have the proper paperwork filed to legally change it over.

Unless you have all 3, then it will still be personal property.
