It may contain asbestos but it is unlikely due to the year if was manuf. NYS for instance uses a 1974 cut off date. Some asbestos products such as spray on insulation and other surfacing materials were banned from use in 1978. That being said, roofing and flooring continues to be made with asbestos in Canada, Brazil, and other countries that import to the U.S. even today.
